contact usIn order to be eligible for the OZEV Home scheme grant you will need to meet some criteria requirements set out by OZEV. They are as follows: Keep an electric vehicle, which can be new, pre-owned or leased. Have property owners permission (if applicable). Have a suitable domestic property for installation. Have suitable off-road parking.
Standard installation is our base installation rate, generally this covers most domestic installations. The criteria in order to qualify for this rate are set out in our terms of sale.
Charging times of an electric vehicle can vary greatly, depending on different factors. Generally speaking the higher power output of the charger the faster the vehicle will charge. Other factors to consider when determining how long a battery will take to charge are the conditions, the amount of charge currently in the battery and also the make and model of the vehicle. See our blog page to find out more about EV vehicle charging times.
Smart chargers have the ability to intelligently manage how your electric vehicle charges. The charger communicates with the car , the charging operator and utility company via data connections and cloud services. This allows all parties to be able to manage power consumption by the EV charger or system, maintaining the most cost effective, sustainable, and efficient way of charging.
A tethered home EV charging station, the electric car cable that is used to charge your electric vehicle (EV) is permanently fixed to the charging station
An untethered electric car home charging unit, the cable that is used to charge your EV is not permanently fixed to the charging station. Which is usually referred to as ‘socket only’.
The Type 1 plug is a single-phase plug which allows for charging power levels of up to 7.4 kW (230 V, 32 A). The standard is mainly used in car models from the Asian region, and is rare in Europe, which is why there are very few public type 1 charging stations.
A Type 2 charging cable is the European-standard plug-type used by every new electric car. It features a seven-pin connection at both ends.
